About me #

Hi all! I am Heini and my passion is with architecture, data, Azure and DevOps. I currently work as Azure Lead and DevOps Consultant at Polar Squad, working in customer projects bringing data platforms to life in Azure.

Initially I studied to become a math teacher, but transitioned to IT right after graduating. Right away, I found ways to leverage the skills I had for problem solving and making complex topics easy to understand, which made it easier to start in a new field. I’ve had a chance to work in such a wide variety of projects! I started with infrastructure architecture development projects in hybrid environments, shifted to focus on working with Azure, got deeper into data projects, as well as expanded finally to topics around DevOps. Whatever I do, I have most enjoyed figuring out how everything fits together.

In the past three years I’ve gotten into speaking at community events and sharing my knowledge. I’ve been honored to be awarded the Data Platform MVP award, for these contributions. But since it is always fun to keep challenging myself, this blog came about!

On my free time, I spend time outdoors enjoying fresh air either snowboarding or riding up and down hills on my mountain bike.
